What Is a Top Hung Window?

Top hung windows open from the bottom and are hinged at the top. You open them outward, which lets air in while keeping rain out.

They’re often used in homes, lofts, and commercial buildings. They’re also good when you need ventilation but don’t want the window to open into the room.

Futura+ Top Hung Window

Futura+ is built for projects that need a clean, modern look. It uses slim 53 mm aluminium on the outside and timber on the inside.

The frame includes idealcore™, which helps improve insulation and avoid cold spots. Like the others, it opens from the top using friction slides and locks with one handle.

You can also use the night vent setting. The double glazed version reaches a U-value of 1.31. Triple glazing improves it to 0.74. Futura+ works best in modern designs that also need strong thermal performance.

It also uses idealcore™ to help with insulation. This window opens from the top with friction slides and uses a multi lock handle with a night vent position.

U values are 1.32 for double glazing and 0.77 for triple. You also get built in security with strong keeps and bolts. If you’re working on a period style building but want modern performance, this is ideal.
