John Morden Centre, located in Blackheath, London, was completed between 2019-2021 for Morden College. The project, received several awards including the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize in 2023.

The design includes public spaces linked by a colonnade and connections to landscaped gardens, contributing to an environment that uplifts spirits and fosters community. The CEO of Morden College, David Rutherford-Jones, highlighted the Center as a place that values its residents and inspires both them and the staff.

It serves as a day care center for Morden College residents, consolidating various facilities into a new, innovative building designed to combat social isolation among older individuals. Referencing the historical architecture of the Grade I listed almshouse, it features a colonnade, roofscape, and brickwork reminiscent of its heritage.

RIBA praised the John Morden Centre for its design, emphasizing how it combats loneliness in older communities and provides an environment that fosters community and wellbeing. The building integrates medical facilities and social spaces to create an uplifting environment, encouraging interaction and preventing isolation.
