The scheme which has been carried out for the King’s College, Cambridge, is 84 new homes for graduates, fellows and their families also offers generous garden & communal areas.
It has a target of 100-year design life using high-quality materials which emanate a sense of permanence.
The scheme has been constructed not only to PassivHaus standards but also to a bespoke sustainability matrix that demonstrates; excellence in health & wellbeing, landscape and nature, water, materials and waste, and community and neighbourhood Impacts.
It is expected the scheme will be carbon negative for the first 7-10 years.
Idealcombi UK are extremely proud to have supplied the Futura+I window system to achieve PassivHaus standards. This scheme gives a slim visual sightline to sit perfectly with the architectural design of carefully balanced vertical & horizontal lines.
