A New Connection to the Garden
This Victorian mid-terrace family home in Homerton has been carefully reworked to create a stronger relationship between the living spaces and the rear garden. The original property included an ageing rear extension that housed the kitchen and restricted both natural light and views towards the garden.
Idealcombi supplied a combination of Futura+ windows, side-hung and top-guided windows, an outward-opening Futura+ terrace door, and a Nation IC inward-opening entrance door for the project.
All products were specified with triple glazing and finished in RAL 9005 Black, giving the project a consistent, high-performance glazing solution throughout.
The glazing arrangement was designed to maximise daylight and frame views of the garden from within the new dining space. Large fixed panes create a strong visual connection to the planting outside, while opening windows provide practical natural ventilation. The outward-opening terrace door further strengthens the transition between the interior and garden.
